Carlisle usually

I enjoyed it. People have been overreacting some. But there were a couple of striking scenes I enjoyed. I'd watch it again

Yes, yes I have. Loved it. It reminded me of uni days (well the first chapter). Some fantastic sex I've had. It was so clever and brilliant and poignant and just... .

The soundtrack is possibly being overplayed now.

I thought this was gonna be about surfing!

This place rocks, much better than the SW in October if you have a full body wetsuit

I've watched and really quite enjoyed it. Loved the eat the rich story arc and even though I watched it out of morbid curiosity after hearing the reactions to certain scenes, I have to say that they weren't as bad as I thought they would be. I was thinking A Serbian Film level after those reactions but it was a very good film

Nooo. For one, he's not posh.

It's about longing I think. Vampirism. Envy. Grief and how we handle it. The long lazy summers of youth where anything is possible and the world is full of hope. Until it isn't. I'm trying to avoid spoilers.

I can’t decide if it’s about class appropriation or class sabotage.

Either way, he’s a clever cuckoo

Filmed really nicely. Interesting storyline - made me think of a cuckoo!

The grave scene was

Afterwards I sat quietly for a little bit

Worth watching but there's a lot of unanswered questions at the end

It's worth a watch. Not shocking at all, there has been rauchier stuff on TV. I liked but thought the end a bit rushed. If you have seen/liked The Talented Mr Ripley, you'll like it.

Whitley Bay

I left my 18 year old son and girlfriend watching it the other night.

When I came back they were both a little shell-shocked. He said they liked it, it was strange, cinematography great.. He also said It would be wrong to recommend to me because I'm his mum, but he thinks I'll like it.

That's intriguing enough to give it a go.

I think the most offensive thing in there is that it's set in 2006 and considered a period piece... that's not a pun on one of the scenes by the way!
