Yes it happens. I eventually have a friend sort out and delete people that I haven't talked to for a while.

I only have a handful of friends on here. I don't accept people I haven't exchanged messages with but I do get a fair few requests (and most of them are people I've never spoken to before)

Only 2 people who are on my friends list I haven't met. One I hope to quite soon and the other is a lovely lady out West who I talk to about our mutual diabetes.

I have one or two I'm in regular contact with away from the site and another couple that I message occasionally.

Friends I've either met, or am planning to meet soon. I don't send or accept random requests. I think most are just after the friends only pics.
