On here I can be a filthy mare...and talk about sex quite openly...Yet when I was speaking to a guy on a dating site I am on he started to talk about his sex life it was off putting to me...I thought 5 minutes into the conversation and you are talking about sex already... It kind of put me off..

Because on here it's expected.

When I was on dating sites I would go off guys who talked about sex too early on as I knew that meant they weren't really interested in dating.

I'm with you on that! It's disrespectful (I think) on a dating site. You're there for dating, sex is secondary and surely you need to get to know each other first. On here it's obviously more up front.

I hate sex talk when it's out of the blue like that. Turns me right off.

Well lets be fair most dating sites are full of swingers and visa versa and if your on the one you need a fishing rod for id say 30% of em are on here as I recognise a few form many yrs ago...

I was chatting to a guy on POF a while back and within about 3 messages he was asking for more pics. I had 8 photos all very clear face and full length shots clothed obviously. So I said no and ignored him after that. A few weeks later when I joined here I got a message from the same guy.. I responded and told him I'd spoken to him on POF and now he could see the pics he wanted on there!!! Lol x

For the majority that are on FAB, they are here for sexual fun, and it is natural to dive into talking about sex right away with other like-minded people.

However, on vanilla dating sites, I personally believe the emphasis is more on friendship, companionship and romance, and sex is not expected to be that high on the list for some, myself included.

All IMHO, of course.

I am on the fishing site also and guys on there that chat for a few mins then start getting sexual are a pain but the ones that really piss me off are the ones that talk for a few days and swap phone numbers and get your hopes up , only then to start with the sexual stuff . Why wast there time and mine !!!

Time, occasion and location are the factors that make many derisions swing one way or another. If a guy approached you in a club and asked you for a fuck your reaction would be very different to him doing it in ASDA.
