What questions do you ask when you chat to a prospective meet?

I saw a TikTok suggesting something a little provocative. Basically, make a statement that they're likely to disagree with and then watch how they respond to the difference between you. Eg "so what do you think of TikTok?"

If you like your life wrapped up in a superficial 2 minute video by click bait hounds... Its just perfect.

I usually ask them for their thoughts on whether white supremacy is a global system of oppression that still oppresses people today. I’ve asked all of my meets and dates that. Platonic or not.

I usually ask them to record their voice, singing the full rendition of "Land of Hope and Glory"...and then 'WhatsApp' it to me via their burner SIM.

It serves no purpose; they're still going to be made love to.

I tend not to test people just for the sake of it.

I'm not currently meeting but when I am I just have normal conversations with people often for weeks and sometimes months before arranging to meet for coffee.

The fact we are still chatting after that length of time tells me much more than asking trick questions.

I don't have any tests or set questions.

I generally go by the rule that if conversation flows easily with a mixture of humour, flirting and meaningful depth to it, then I would enjoy their company over a cocktail for a social, and potentially also enjoy being on their cock at some later date.

"I usually ask them for their thoughts on whether white supremacy is a global system of oppression that still oppresses people today. I’ve asked all of my meets and dates that. Platonic or not. "

Serously, why can't we have a filter for this! Genius.

My strategy is to have a very political profile, which I guess it's unusual here. How people who message repond to it (or not) is illuminating...

I just chat to people,I don't ask questions purposely to see if I can annoy someone or to get a reaction. I think just a normal chat shows me what the person is like when we chat for a bit. I never have felt the need to test anyone or be insecure in my own instincts about people so much that I would feel the need to test anyone to like that.

I wonder if people who are "secure" with their ability to gauge someone's intentions realise that's a privilege. It's great to have faith in your instincts, wish we all could. But many don't, often because of their history. I don't. So I take extra measures. You can call it trapping or testing, or insecurity or playing games. Sure. I call it keeping myself safe and I don't believe I've harmed anyone in doing so.

I don't do it. I've never felt the need to. I waffle. Far, far too much. I love asking questions organically and learning people. But I don't want to test them in a way. Not in anyway. I think in part it's because I'm far too optimistic/naive. In part it's because I'd rather give a person a chance.

Limiting it down to how someone responds to one question at one point of one day, like the aforementioned in the OP, feels a tad reductive to me. I don't know.

Yep pretty much this. We all have had life experiences some which haven't been pleasant, but it still doesn't make me want to have to test people or consider it a privilege because I don't. And I also wouldn't want someone testing me just to see a reaction, I would find that an immediate turn off.

We chat to people - we find out more about them talking about their interests/hobbies then we would talking about sex.

If it’s someone single, we’ll chat to them at different times of the day to see any patterns of when they interact.

We don’t meet right away so the people who do or are just interested in a fuck or are playing away disappear long before…

We also have other methods but not giving them away

"What questions do you ask when you chat to a prospective meet?…

…Sorry, touched a nerve there, just been through one of those chats, going great until the ‘will you spoil me tonight, I don’t mean sex’ lines.

Oh that's horrible. I'm sorry - rubbish experience, I'm sure. "

Happens all too often, sadly, here and on the more conventional apps. Must be some very gullible men out there…

Dubai & Nottingham

I just naturally get to know people but do pay a bit of attention to on to the topics people choose not to talk about, often it reveals more.

vetting / red flags for me are a unhealthy interest in other people, fab or popularity

What qualifies as unhealthy?

"The 3 message flow rule worked best back in my day

Go on then - tells us your secrets it can be messages about everything but withing 3 messages each way the convo must flow naturally if it doesnt face to face convo will stall also

How do you "vet" with just 3 questions? I'd need 103!"

i dont ask questions its not a quiz just need to feel engaged in the flow of conversation

Not helpful and it wasn't for you to answer.

I don't think I could gauge the flow or the person with just 3 messages.

Manchester(ish).

I vet people in my own time and refuse to be rushed into anything.

Fab has taught me a lot about boundaries.

Honestly it's just a go with my gut thing. If someone makes me think that I won't be safe with them because we don't communicate well, or they can't regulate their emotions, then I don't meet them.

Aside from that, I vet people for our ability to "sexually mesh" before I meet them. I want to have some idea that there is point to leaving my house other than a drink or whatever.

I think some people don't mind meeting for drinks, so they vet for danger and see the rest in person because they don't mind using that energy for drinks and/or they can't tell anything unless they are in person. .

It can be hard to connect with people who are different to you in that respect.

actually I think vetting if people can regulate emotions is precisely why I started the thread! I mean I'm not sure I can regulate mine but irrelevant.

gotta get that butt smooth as silk

I imagine a gang of people just absconding with a hairy person and then dropping them back to where they find them - bald, smooth, smelling weird and completely confused
