People will have you believe it’s for cross pollination of flowers etc. same as with wasps, why can’t we just have the nice flying fings to do that?

Much more point to them than humans to be fair.

One is a parasite.

The other, along with bees, though not as efficient pollinates flowers, are good for other creatures as food. They are also very important in speeding up breaking down other organic matter.
