What kind of music are you putting into this category?

I know the original meaning, but it's lost the meaning in the 70's or 80's probably.

Most rockers/metalheads (including me) call anything pop, not played entirely by real instruments.

(Containing a few keyboard riffs or strumming a few guitar chords doesn't make it real)

Techno/Electronic, House, Rap, Hip-hop, Modern R&B(Nothing to do with Rhythm & Blues a long time ago)...etc.

I consider these^ all pop music.

I'd never class pop music as something not played by real instruments..a lot of..techno.. electro stuff....hip hop ..rap..is just as underground as a lot of punk ..metal..rock..you wouldn't hear it on daytime radio.. it's got nothing to do with pop music..

It's true since let's say the 80's.

They used to play many genres including rock.

Now it's just crap.

Not an Oasis fan myself either.
