So for those who go to clubs frequently, what advice would you give to a newbie?

Or looking back at your first visits, is there anything you would have done differently?

I don’t go frequently but I’m going to throw in an answer anyway.

I wish I’d gone with a friend (or friends) on my first time. Going along on my own is never as much fun and it wasn’t the best introduction.

Go with zero expectations. Go to chat, see what it's like and just have a relaxing evening. If anything happens it's a bonus.

Be prepared to talk about dynamics and what you/they are looking for. Any hard limits or boundaries that you/they have.

Have a pouch with lube/condoms/hair bobbles. Some people also bring mini vibrators etc.

Slippers or flip flops are a good idea. So many clubs have lots of stairs!

I know some single women who say that often couples and single guys are too shy to approach them. So be prepared to start the conversation if you feel able.

RTG's advice is good but it can also stop you talking to new people because you have each other as a comfort blanket (not the best wording but you know what I mean)

I have no issues dressing down, but not a fan of sitting around with my arse cheeks hanging out, so I take a 'sexy' type dressing gown thingy along too.

And spare stockings/fishnets... Your bag will go in your locker anyways, so just bung extras in that.

as a woman you should be ok obviously some regulars will maybe be a little too forward but most clubs support the women that attend them

No, no advice just hindsight regret. One of them is holding back, not being bolder..the offers and opportunities to play, I should of taken them

..this and other things left me thinking maybe the clubs aren't for me..I still think that..but I'm thinking I may dip my toes again this year

Not disagreeing...and this is a matter of personal preference. But I don't drink alcohol generally at clubs

Read the clubs website and check whether it's smart dress or dress down. Do you take your own alcohol or is there a bar. Check out if its a party/ themed night or a standard night. Decide if you want to go to a quieter time or busy party night.

Tell the club it's your first club visit and you should get a tour of the club and chance to ask questions.

Smile; chat and have fun. Be careful regarding drinking too much, as you don't want to possibly do things you regret.

If anyone makes you feel uncomfortable, tell them to go away. If they persist, inform the staff.

Meeting people for fun in clubs is far safer than in a hotel or own home. Enjoy

Great it as a sociable night out. Go into the bar area, mingle,say hello to lots of people, smile and be chatty and just go with the flow.

It can be really daunting going on your own but it can be great fun too. Wear something that you feel like a sex goddess in, take a deep breath at the door, and walk in confidently.

I hope you enjoy it.

OP just go and have fun. Don’t feel under _any_ pressure to do anything. Just sit and watch if you want.

I would let the club know it is your first time. They will keep an eye out for you. Also hold off on the alcohol - I have seen some people drink more than they intended due to nerves.

There are good clubs and bad clubs. We like The Town House which is in Merseyside and Jay Dees which is Cambridgeshire way.

Our best advice for clubs has always been to be proactive. Chat with as many people as you can, and about loads of random stuff. It doesn't matter if you end up clicking & wanting sex, but you'll have an awesome night.

A first visit is nerve racking enough without the worry of all the practical implications. Prior research can help put you at ease on the night and is just really helpful practically.

Little things like:

What facilities they have

Dress

Payment methods (for example Jaydees is cash only and in the middle of nowhere)

Transport/parking/accommodation options

(Especially look at late night return Transport options, some place don't really even have good taxi services)

Alcohol (if you drink it), is it buy at bar or take bottle?

Do you need to take your own towel?

What is a good time to go?

Not everyone feels comfortable turning up early when it's dead. What night is best to go.

Check out the club website for information or the forums or the reviews. If you have questions ask the forums (if you can't find the answer) or contact the club. In fact I would always recommend ringing the club with a few questions to get a better vibe for the place and staff before hand. The more you know and prepare for before hand the less you have to worry.

Oh, and always tell them it's your first time and ask for a tour. They will so you around (obviously) but also fill you in on relevant information, tips, answers your questions and maybe help introduce you to/break the ice with people they know and trust.

There's a fine line between having a bottle of wine spaced out across an evening, and being smashed

I like to hold a glass as a prop as I mingle... Handy for either, oh, I'm heading for a top up? Or, I'm just mingling with a glass in hand as I chat?... But I'm a nervous person when it comes to approaching strangers. It works for me

You aren’t walking into an all out and open orgy. (That’s after midnight anyway.

Don’t feel scared to chat to people, smile, say hello.

Mention it’s your first time and ask if they offer tours. At some clubs staff will give you a walk around, and check in on you throughout the night.

Let down your inhibitions. Everyone was once a newbie.

Be open minded. Watch, join, laugh, dance, or do whatever you wish to.

I think a bit of "Dutch courage " relaxation is fine. Its rare but I have seen some people very d*unk at club.

But for me personally... especially because it's likely I will be involved in the dungeon at some point...I like to train alcohol free
