Whilst I’m not of the school of “what goes around comes around”, I do believe that we make our own luck in this world (I also understand that we can have bad luck outside our own control). Any help I have received, say for example a good word from a boss at work, is because I’ve earned my reputation as a grafter.

I do tend to feel we mostly get what we deserve in life.

I'd just like to point out that Hero was female, a priestess, so the name is feminine. Leander was the one doing the courageous (or reckless) deed of swimming across the Hellespont to meet her, all for love.

Leander drowned in a storm, Hero drowned herself.

A hero is therefore a woman willing to die for love

If (if!) novels are autobiographical then I'm the villainess, heroine, then villain, then hero in mine.

Which is maybe too confusing and that's why no one bought it..?
