Derby day today. The first one in 7 years and I should be ridiculously confident based on the difference between the two teams but I’m absolutely bricking it.

"Derby day today. The first one in 7 years and I should be ridiculously confident based on the difference between the two teams but I’m absolutely bricking it."

Exactly the same here. There's far more at stake than getting through to the next round. The Mackems have nothing to lose, will play out of their skins and come flying out of the blocks. Newcastle are under pressure with a bad run if form, and an horrendous injury list.

My prediction: Joelinton will be sent off!

We’ve got the quality to absolutely dismantle them but our form away from home is worrying. We’ve got a few Geordies in the squad so hopefully they’ve drilled it in to the rest of the team how much this means to the fans.

This Tyneside derby is the most exciting draw of the past few years for me. I would love to be at this game, will have to settle watching it on the tv.

My lot play Bristol City tomorrow. They have sold 9k tickets and are claiming to be buying tickets in our stands. Could make for an interesting afternoon.

I love this competition. I normally start watching it from the first pre-qualifying round in early August, when my local non-league team enter/invariably get knocked out, then get excited about Hartlepool United’s chances of making the third round (invariably ending by November), then get over-excited at the 3rd round draw, dreaming of Fleetwood, Morecambe or Carlisle away (if they are still in it) and always, always praying for that elusive draw v ‘Wall.

I did have an over under on the amount of police horses that would be punched today…… lol

I saw the convoy of 6000 on buses going from Newcastle to Sunderland.. rather impressive!!

Anyway.. I am rooting for a draw.. just to see the looks of horror of the faces of the Northumbria police… trying to be cleaver by making it a 12.45 kick off to stop people drinking

A replay starting at 8pm when people have had a whole day on the pop.. with 7000 Sunderland fans coming in … carnage!!!

Little clubs like ours desperately need the money.

Wherever I lay my hat.

Struggle with the lack of ethics in football and the fact that, especially in England, people follow teams that are largely made up of foreigners who are then going to inevitably kick the national team out of the World Cup.

Saddens me to see the sycophants mindlessly following overpaid troglodytes. Sanctimonious players and their pet projects also irritate the shit out of me.

Try not to be too indignant in your response.

Bring it on.. I also forgot they don’t have salah today!!!

I’ve also just had a chat with an Arsenal mate who has given me an interesting suggestion…

If Jordan Henderson is truly having a bad time in Saudi and wants to come back… arteta should bring him in on loan, play him at 6.. then you can play rice as an 8 and odegaard as a 10

And I couldn’t really argue against it….

That is very generous to Arsenal. I think it's more we were looking for more space/time than you're ever going to get at that level.
