Boots or shoes for a meet??

I appreciate some of you will say dependant on weather conditions, being seen in public, etc which may influence your answer.. so excluding them factors what do you prefer?

flip flops, nice ones. Can't wait for spring to arrive so I can bin the boots. Would love to be able to war heels but I always look like dick emery in them unfortunately!
