Somewhere else

… by someone’s voice that you didn’t want to meet, even if you liked their photos / messages?

I send a voice note once and received a restraining order.

"I thought it would happen with Kai.

This is my absolute greatest achievement!

I'd put it on my CV if I could.

"… by someone’s voice that you didn’t want to meet, even if you liked their photos / messages?"

Narp. Usually by that time I’m interested enough by how they write. Maybe if it was for a long term totty it would have more bearing. I’ve worked all over country and like most accents.

MrAbz warned about his accent before we first met. Still makes me laugh as I was so thoroughly confused as to why he felt the need to that

Yes, I felt awful. Nice guy, the sex sounded like it would be a lot of fun, very attractive to look at, heard the voice and actually gagged a little bit. There was something just really wrong with his accent, no idea why I reacted so strongly. Maybe some repressed memory somewhere?

Scouse used to have that effect on me. Not repressed memories, very present ones.

It has eased in the past year or two though. I can now be at Townhouse and not feel my skin crawl every time I hear it

"… by someone’s voice that you didn’t want to meet, even if you liked their photos / messages?"

Admittedly on two occasions.

One was where she had sent me a voicenote, but was so slurred with her pronunciation that it tarnished the “sexiness” I had her in my brain. Not due to being d*unk, just how she talks (and I wouldn’t dare say I’m turned off by how you speak - probably a harboured insecurity already).

The other was incredibly scratchy. Always sounded like she needed to clear her throat. Just grew irritating.

In all my years, I’ve been fortunate to enjoy the various sounds and voices of the people I’d slept with.. but those two standout for how engrained they remain in my brain.

Yes I wish I could overlook it but I couldn’t. He was tall, broad and gorgeous but when he spoke he sounded like Joe Pasquale and I just couldn’t imagine him whispering filth in my ear so I let it fizzle.

.

Yes. I'm quite aurally based, love voices, love hearing someone say things to me. The wrong type of voice for me (which is rare but exists) means I'll be switched off regardless of how good their kissing is.

It does happen the other way - someone's voice, the way they talk to me can have me melt and forget myself.
