Do you get offended

If somebody says that you arnt for them?

For me, it is what it is? I tell myself that they don't understand all the wit and charm from my profile or they arnt Into guys.

And then I keep it moving.

But seriously, not everyone is for everyone.

And that's OK.

I'm sure there are a couple of ladies that don't fancy that aquaman fella.

It doesn't make him fugly.

It was a shock when I joined fab to learn there are people who don’t lie awake at night thinking of my face.

Once I’d got over that I regrouped and lied about what a fantastic bloke I am.

That didn’t work either.

Now I just message everyone and pick a chick a day. Some are passable.

Is "offended" the word?

Sad, sometimes, upset, sometimes. Hopefully I behave rationally in response to it, and keep my feelings to myself.

No, someone else's preferences are their own and in no way reflective of me so there's nothing to get offended about. It's disappointing if that person is a rare someone you fancy but that's very separate from taking offence.

I think when I first started online dating I did get disappointed, but then when I realised that none of us really know how any of us come across until we meet, it's understandable. Some people put alot of effort Into selling themselves well and then you meet them.. others don't as much but when you meet they are top shelf peoples.

Definitely in no way offended. But I do have a tiny fragile self esteem and sometimes my wee feelings get hurt.

Battle ropes, they are fun because they are heavy so I imagine the person feels more restrained but they have to use a bit off imagination and pretend the knot isn't quite as easy to loosen

"I'd rather be told that sooner rather than strung along."

Sometimes negative issues don't arise until after a few messages.

In those cases I would try to explain why but more often than not, they start to turn into a sour argument, and blocks ensues.

When people get rejected, they can turn nasty which is a shame because...

1. It's only my opinion

2. Take it or leave it

3. There may be some validity in the discussion and

4. It doesn't need to turn sour

We could be the most amazing fellas in the world, we could say what we are, be that and exceed all expectations.

We could have previous partners thinking that we would never have an issue finding somebody compatible because they know us and what we bring.

The problem is..

Nobody here knows that.

There's alot of fakers out there that will tell women what they want to hear, there's only so many times somebody will get burnt before they become wary and doubt what other men tell them.

I'm the sort of person that gets on with everyone, my dates always go well wether normal dating or sexual dating, I always get positive feedback from encounters.

And being someone that always has warm receptions from people he knows and people he's just met and finds it easy to build good rapport with someone pretty quick it used to feel real disheartening when somebody wouldn't even respond, especially when you know you fit the description of what they are after and they are what you are after.

But, it is what it is. Nobody here really knows what any of us are going to be until we meet, and in all honesty, we've probably done exactly the same to other women without knowing.

But online is about how well you sell yourself, real life you can just be you.
