Decision making.

How quickly do you decide things. And do you ever regret what you have decided on. So you hate the decision making always to be left up to you about things. Do you wish others would just make their mind up and to save you having to make the choice.

Just something I was pondering on today. Usually I'm pretty good at making my mind up about what to do but sometimes I like it when someone else takes the lead .

In general life I am not a decision maker and if I can get out of having to make one I will. I am a massive overthinker as well. Deep joy!

I don't believe in regrets though. Once something is done, it's done. It's better to learn from things and move forward rather than dwelling in the past

I have regrets over certain decisions but I also pat myself on the back for other decisions I have made especially one I made just over 4 years ago.

That's one of the best decisions I've made.

I like to be decisive but I also enjoy helping others to empower themselves by telling me what they really want to do.

Wherever I lay my hat

I make big decisions rapidly and decisively - to the point of being impulsive. It's the little decisions about what bar or restaurant to go to that I can dither over. I would always prefer someone to make that choice for me

I'm not the best I tend to over think things and I usually make the wrong decision anyway. So this year I'm going to just be more decisive and hopefully that will work out better for us..

I'm the decisive one out of the two of us. I've always taken on that role.

There are times I regret them but then hindsight will always be 20/20.

I stick by my choices, good or bad.

Small stuff very fast.

What might help is understanding when you should satisfice, deliberate or consult & deliberate. And of course consult very wisely but own it still.

I’ll happily order food , wine , clothes, holiday destinations for others if they don’t want to - I love it. I live how decision making trains you & improves over time , it’s like working out.

Indecision and procrastination are big pet hates of mine

I’m a big old decision maker. If it’s something important like a new car/furniture etc then I have a good old research. But once I’ve decided, that’s it.

Little stuff I’m straight in. No regrets.

.

It depends really. Sometimes I know instinctively what I want and I'm happy to stick to my deicison. I'm quite good at that with people - this year especially I've known rather quickly when I've needed space or I'm attracted to someone and I've been able to voice that.

Other times I enjoy thinking about it, working out what it is I really want, comparing and then being very happy with the choice I've made.

I've spent the months failing to choose colours for the kitchen cupboards, walls, and flooring.

Today is the final day before i need to let them know.

Read a book a few years ago on decision automation. One of the few pop psychology books that literally changed my life.

There’s a whole bunch of stuff I don’t ever need to think about anymore, not quite at the steve jobs black t shirt level but it does work. That mental energy is used on much more important stuff
