I find the British view it largely as vandalism as opposed to art.

I would prefer it to be recognised for its artistic nature and encourage artists to exhibit their work in given areas.

There is a street / alley in Berlin set aside for such purposes and the content of the art on display is constantly changing.

Artists are invited to display and their work is shown for a given period before it is whitewashed over and another artist put their work on top of it.

It's free to view and several small businesses, bars and the like have sprung up around it due to the visitors it attracts.

I love it. Some of it is amazing. Plus it cheers me up when I see it on old buildings while sat on the train. Makes somethin dull and boring come alive..

Myself, I think if its done with creativity to me its great art.

I've seen some amazing wall art lately on my travels. Depends on what it is. Swear words spray painted onto a wall.... then no.

Some is art some is just vandalism. Banksy and the like are artists and some pieces I see dotted about are great but kids with cans writting crap on walls is vandalism.

Blackpool is having s street art week in June I'd love to go and see it in process.

Unfortunately the railway is not the safest of environments to practice this art and can risk their lives and others without a thought.

Where they have hoardings set aside for the art I think they show great imagination

A lot of Banksy's work isn't original, while he is an awesome artist the guy he takes ispiration & ideas from is the creme de la creme.

Blek Le Rat.
