We all have to balance the (sometimes) conflicting demands on our time. Mine is probably 45% work, 30% home life, 5% CPD and the remaining 20% socialising, gym, hobbies etc. Right now I hava good balance but it has not alwyas been like that.

What is yours and what would you like to be different?

Mine is 75% working away from home 15% away from home when not working, so not a lot left to be with the people I love. Need to change that soon.

Life just wobbles from one thing to the next.

Fail to plan, and its a lot more fun than being predictable.

Grand kids are lifes glue, and keep life all together.

Way too much work at the moment. Our workload is always higher in the winter, this year it's about 10% higher than last and on top of that increase out of a team of 6 we have 1 on longterm sick... Long hours and tiredness problem explain a winter of minor illnesses and injuries that have pretty much kept me off the bike and running distorting the work/life balance even further.

Just had a weeks holiday which was my first holiday in 13 months but aim to get the balance more inline over the next few weeks

50hrs a week working = 30%

35hrs a week sleeping = 21%

So that leaves me 83hrs a week 49% to fit my household chores, family, hobbies and socialising in...plenty of time

Currently too many hours working and driving to work. Every hour being a mum. Not enough quality sleep.

Not enough free time and not enough time to do anything really.

My current balance is not good. When I start my new job and finish my current job it will be easier. Hoping for a little more child free time but chances are slim.

Barely eaten this week as get me and kids home then bath and bed.

Roll on free time and lots of naughtiness x

Last night I was having a few conversations off site about the topic of balance - what seems to me is that most of us, including people in the scene, lack the time to have fun. No, I dont mean sexy fun ... I mean clean fun to havea laugh, a giggle, a chat with people with no particular purpose.

It seems a lot of us are caught in being too adult too much of the time?

Mine's a perfect balance. I plan in advance, got a few outings and meets booked. In fact I'm off on an adventure right now. Just having a coffee break.

We're a long time dead. Every day has to have something good in it or what's the point...?

That is great to hear, Scarlet - hope you have a lovely time. And yes, I agree life is short and we need to make the best of those hours we are given on a daily basis - they are like a credit in the bank that you loose at the end of the day unless you spent them.
