Hi all, just a quick one, why do so many single guys on here say on there profile they wont meet smokers but still try get a meet with smokers. Also some say they dont smoke or drink alcohol but when we meet they do. Best jut be honest.

They probably prefer non smoking but find you attractive and are happy to ignore the smoking.

As for the second part it's misleading but not a fake profile.

The smoking drinking one is hard because there’s only 2 options

Saying I drink could mean anything from alcoholic to having a drink once a year

That’s why the apps have expanded those sections so you can include how often you drink/smoke

As for guys saying that won’t meet smokers then trying to meet smokers, lots of guts say they’re straight too and gobble cock on the side. Some people are just horny and lie

I agree with much of what has been said, that this doesn't necessarily make it fake, it's a preference.

Many women in my experience say they cannot accommodate but once you get to know them, they do. It doesn't make them fake, they are (I think) merely creating a security barrier.

Men who pose as a couple or a woman.. they are more concerning. As are the copious amounts of profiles without any pics who demand to see face pics.

Women, couples and men have contradicting info often, not just single men.

(Stop blaming everything on single guys)

People can change their mind about little things. That won't necessary make them a hypocrite or fake.

Extremely rare if I drink and never drink home alone.

Wouldn't drink on a social with someone, but I would get smashed on a work night out.

More like a minor oversight. I'd never settle for a smoker, but that doesn't mean I won't enjoy the company of a smoker for a short time.

There isn't a filter for "will meet smokers if a one night stand/fling/fuck in the bushes, but won't meet for long term"

Like someones alcohol comment, there's a difference between the single cig on a night out and a 40-a-day.

I advertise that I won’t meet smokers and that is because I hate the smell. On the rare occasions when I search on fab, I will use that as a search filter. However, if I get chatting to someone who I find very attractive and interesting in every other way, I will consider overlooking it. It’s a temporary choice that I’m allowing myself while maintaining boundaries to all others who smoke. It doesn’t mean I’m fake, it means I’m exercising my right to choose.

I don’t drink at all. But in the last ten years I’ve had the very, very occasional small glass of bubbly to celebrate something with someone.

I didn’t really want to drink but I allowed myself the option to choose to join them in that way. Again, exercising my right to choose despite my usual proclivities.

Doesn’t mean I’m fake

There isn't much leeway in the options.

I don't smoke, but will have one on a glam night out, so I might have 10-15 a year, but because most of my pics are taken in smoking areas of bars, it looks different
