We sat down on New Year's Day, and absolutely loved rewatching "Some Like It Hot".

Mr adores technicolour and the Golden Age of Hollywood. Think late 1910s into the early 60s!

Do you have any favourite black & white or technicolour films?

Street Car Named Desire? Casablanca? Citizen Kane?

Let us know

I watch the original Miracle on 34th Street and Scrooge over Christmas.

I really like the old Universal horror movies like Frankenstein and Dracula too.

Stirlingshire

Love the old comedy films like Laurel and Hardy, Harold Lloyd, Marx Brothers, Buster Keaton etc

Then there's all the cracking old Gangster/Film Noir movies as well

It's so great to see the classics still loved and appreciated! We have added a few to our watch list

Haven't seen Gone with the Wind or The Scarlet Letter pop up yet!

Titz Towers, North Notts

The Invisible Man, with Claude Raines. That's a fantastic film and the special effects still carry charm.

Murder Inc/The Enforcer, is a 1951 Bogart thriller and that's always worth watching when it is on

A Matter of Life and Death. Its glorious technicolour and black & white. David Niven at his very best.

Some excellent films listed! Nice to see a real range of genres, true to the classic star-studded age of Hollywood!

Technicolour has such a warmth and luminance to it that is almost glamorous in itself!

Now I do like the 40’s British war films, run silent run deep, the cruel sea, San Demetrio London, they dive at dawn.

If not it’s has to be the Ealing comedy’s.

I have a fixation with Talking pictures tv channel 82 on freeview
