I get bored quickly. I appreciate the sentiment but hearing the same repetitive phrase gets me.

Then I’m expected to repeat it.

Then people can’t remember if they’ve said it to you already and say it again. It sometimes goes on for days!!!

I think it's just one of these things we accept about the world around us. People have seasonal formulations that they say to connect with one another.

It's late December to early January. People are saying the set phrase for that time. It'll pass.
