they are always there

whether we choose to acknowledge them is another matter

A friend with benefits?

That's what I wanted but soon realised there were down sides to that.. Some get jealous, demanding, and soon commitments creep in.

Just stick to fuck buddies and you can't go wrong !!

While your choice of playmate has to meet your requirements ( ie, what you fancy) then there will always be a certain level of feelings involved. You are having a close sexual time with a person you find attractive and actually 'fancy'.

Exactly the same as at the beginning of a vanilla relationship

Each relationship is unique - I think it is possible to have one to give the benefits you are looking for without the commitments of being together all the time.

It can be done. Met my fb on another site and been seeing him for 6 years. There have been problems though. Like all relationships it hasn't been perfect.

That's a boyfriend. I have an fb. We have socialised together but we meet others - and that is a deliberate decision on both our parts as neither of us want a 'relationship' just fun.

OK - just the way I see things. If you only see each other but do not live together it is a boyfriend. If you live together it is a partner. If you hook up regularly for sex and see other people, it's an fb.

So what is your ideal scenario then ?

I think you need to spell it out because what you are asking seems a little confusing / mixed up to me but that is based on minimal information provided of what exactly it is you are looking for.

Yes it is!

I was with my ex for 3 years, it was a long distance relationship, we didn't see each other a the time, but he was still my boyfriend.

To me it seems you are looking for a boyfriend not a fb, but you just aren't admitting it.

Think men and women see strings differently. For me, strings feel like a control mechanism, I think men may see them as requiring to much attention.

How does everyone else see them?

That's fine and good but the sticking partially be the not seeing anyone else. That's what makes it seen like it's something it's not.

I had an fb who I used to go out drinking with,he wowould cook for me etc but as it was just a casual thing I understood he would see other people. To me that's how fb's and friends with benefits work.

There is no need to put a label on it, no need to define it as buddies, boyfriend or partner. Just make sure the guys you meet are clear about what you're looking for.

Good luck - whatever you're looking for, I hope you find it!

do u

a)tell him to go for it(without giving it with hidden meaning)

or

b)get annoyed and make a meal of it

Thats just my issies with 'regular' fuckbuddy meets...to me no strings means absolutely nostrings..Ive been pretty lucky with my re-meets they know im a slut

You have raised a couple of threads on here that make me believe (and I more than happy to be proved wrong) that in swinging terms you are somewhat naive in your outlook.

You are looking for a partner (you may choose to adopt a different term), who you will be exclusive with, yet you don't expect him to be exclusive to you (yet I suspect you would like him to be).

You also want all the benefits of a relationship including the sexual and social elements, but without the boring stuff like working out what you're gonna pay first, the gas or the electric.

Now I am sorry but in my opinion, that amounts to dating.

Dating is not free of emotion and should never be free of emotion if it is to have any legs.

So despite your good intentions (and I am also sure that is what they are), I predict that should you be lucky to find a person that you believe fits the bill, you will at some point develop feelings for them.

The type of man you will attract will be unlikely to fit exactly what you have in mind and isn't likely to wanting to start to play ball when you do realise that you actually have feelings for him.

At that point, when you have shown your vulnerability and true feelings, he will cool things because you start coming on too strong.

Conversely, the opposite could be true and it is he who starts developing the feelings.

Either way, I do not see a happy ending.

Would you not be better getting to know a couple of guys via the site and spending both social and sexual times with them and seeing what, if anything, develops as opposed to having a set agenda from the outset ?
