Dubai & Nottingham

A bit more than I’d planned but all on experiences, meals & nights out, ubers/trains. I didn’t buy any food or alcohol in or presents other than a bit in the sales for the kids.

Only spent what I would in a normal week .I have no family ,so didn't buy any presents, and I don't celebrate Christmas as I am on my own so it's just a normal week to me.

Nah, I start buying way in advance, spreading the cost across several months makes it manageable. I set cost limits, and make sure something is bought for everyone before finishing shopping for any one person. I don't buy anything I can't afford, the thought is more important than the numbers on the receipt.

An excellent and sensible approach
