You be having fireworks tonight?

People round here set them off on the beach...

I am not a lover of fireworks at all. Waste of money.

No we won't but a lot of people will. Most of them put a note on Facebook to warn pet owners.

No I won’t be. I love them but one of my doggos really doesn’t. I learnt from last year that the neighbours will be setting some off tho!

I won't be having any myself but might watch the free show out the window, usually lots around this way.

Nope, I don't like them from owning horses for years! Such a pain in the butt.

Plus my oldest doesn't like them either but he will have noise cancelling ear buds in later and be playing online with a friend (already organised to avoid the meltdown)

I am ready for it this year, for once

Nope... I'm a firm believer that fireworks should not be sold to the public.... should be properly organised displays only

All over

One thing I do not like at all unless is an organised safe and soectacular display and away from animals and peoples homes. Some people seem obsessed and don't care how it might affect others. I am sorry if it offends anyone but is just how I feel about it. I could not vear seeing how badly my dog was affected and mo doubt many more too.

Nope.

The comments on local FB groups in the area from pet owners is enough for me to decide not to want fireworks and be responsible for their anguish.

Plus I imagine there are small babies, young children and others of all ages with issues around fireworks, so it's not worth it adding to their stress.

I tell you what really makes me laugh is one neighbour out the back spends 365 days a year pissing everyone off with her noise. Screeching at the kids, yelling at the dog, swearing at her husband, leaving the dog outside barking…. Constant noise. Yet come New Year’s Eve and another neighbour sets some fireworks off she’s hanging out the window hollering about the noise!

Our neighbour shouted abuse at my wife and kids for watching fireworks (not setting them off) because they upset his dog but doesn’t care that his dog barks all night in the garden. Lucky for him I wasn’t in at the time but my petty side makes me want to go buy fireworks and see if he’s big enough to shout at a man.

No point as the people round here go mental buying them. Why anyone would pay to go to a display is crazy. There's some serious money spent, it's not just 10 or 15 minutes of wizz bang pop, these are industrial going a few hundred metres at a time for a couple of hours

It’s the double standards that piss me off! If you’re nice and quiet then by all means say something but if you’re a noisy cunt yourself fuck off!
