Just had a shop around today and ended up in Boots.

Seen D&G Desire (the one) eau de parfum - 50ml for £68. Smelt loverly though a bit too pricey .. ended up with Versace Purple - and it was on sale £21 .. smells a treat too if any women are looking for a new scent

This year my mum asked for a gift voucher, she lives in Newcastle so a bit far for me to take her out, I usually send flowers but she moans they die too quick lol

Mum in Law is here with us this year so I bought her favorite Chocolates, flowers and lunch out.

Ex mum in law was sent flowers.

Job done

Gill

My mum has her card and bouquet from me and I've done a drawing of lilies for her, just have to ink it now.

I'm glad I gave her the flowers early as she had a tooth removed yesterday and she said her face is sore and bruised. So hopefully they cheered her up a bit.

Just thought. If anyone does receive Versace Purple, its the thought that counts not the price

And...... if any women do buy it and we meet - please dont wear it, itd feel odd

This is my second - in fact just had the second anniversary of her passing. Nice to look back though and remember the good times.

One of my closest friends died last night and this has made me think of her poor kids (adult kids but devastating)

They only buried her dad last week so my thoughts go out to her mum and all her family, she was a lovely lady.

Mother's day in Canada is in May so my mother will get hers then. I will have the cards the kids make me at school and nothing else...but it comes from them, that is all that matters...never really got anything present wise, even when I was still with my husband

These days I find mothers day a very tough day. When you're babies didn't make it you have no one to buy you a card.

As much as I adore my mum I just can't make a fuss

Im going to be spending the weekend with mine and my little girl is really looking forward to it as she loves her nanna and is apparently going to plant things in the garden and take the dog for a walk, will be fun.

I do feel for all those who will be missing their mums on sun,nit sure what i would do without mine.

Then don't celebrate them nor buy anything, it's not compulsory and even those with little or no money can show their love to their mothers cheaply or simply sending their love by letter or phone....

Agree!!

My Mum thinks the same as me- or maybe I think the same as her?! It's a total rip off as all the prices go up for flowers and meals etc. So we always go out the week or two after.

Or cooking them a special meal - my mum used to love that.
