Certainly catches people out doesn't it?!

Have you ever done it and then had someone message you as if you're a new profile?

Or had a friend not realise and they don't message for ages and then when you message them they twig?

Or someone comments to you on the forums when they would normally avoid you or vice versa?

It's quite amusing. I might change my name again.

I like consistency myself, so if I change its for a very specific reason, and I'll likely be changing many other things at the same time

It's quite interesting assuming the name of another, beloved, former member (at their suggestion). For a while, people mistake you for them, if they don't know you've done it. Amusing sometimes, a little heartbreaking at others.

People can usually figure out who someone is instantly as the profile pictures are always the same and the threads are always the same. Just seems like effort after the first 20 names changes you see to even be arsed too.

Kep pics so don't think people were unsure.

But if both pics and names are changed it's confusing for a bit. But like it, especially over Xmas.

Keep up, that was the quitting smoking, I was fattening up in time for Christmas.

I've now got a complex and I'm wondering if the lack of sex is actually due to the weight gain....is it that noticeable? Be honest.

What happens if someone takes your old name?

Can you pay a name retention fee like you do with car registration plates ?

Just asking for a friend

Can you write your name in the Cyrillic Alphabet ?

So many stoopid questions and so little time to ask them in!

I'm afraid to try it now just in case someone has taken a shine to mine.

The last thing I need is a doppelganger stealing all my fans.
