Thank christ somebody mentioned The Who! I can't believe it took so long. The Stones would appear to be back to their best judging by recent releases.

Pink Floyd i never got, likewise Queen. Led Zep went too heavy so i have to say they were better in their first incarnation: The Yardbirds. Anyone who doubts me should listen to the album "Roger the Engineer", particularly the tracks "Over, under, sideways, down" and especially "Happenings 10 Years time ago".

There, my effort at turning from a competition to a discussion.

First guy i lived with was rolling stones mad so i got to like them. They are a good band, but i wouldnt consider them the best.

When he died he had "Get of a my cloud" at the funeral

If you'd quoted in full and not just paraphrased me you'd see i was talking about the yardbirds, who evolved into led zep.
