I rescued it from a charity shop. I was told once that I'd read toilet tissue if it had writing on it.

It's interesting and I'm reading it with an open mind.

My typical reading matter is more like Lee Child etc... puse escapism.

Parts of the bible are beautiful. Some of the psalms for instance. It's worth reading just for that

A couple of days before Christmas one of the National Trust properties we visited had a book lucky dip in their second hand bookshop. For £2 you picked a wrapped parcel with two books in it, each had a label giving a clue to the type of book. I chose history and have 'Heresy' by S.J.Parris and 'The Templar' by Paul Doherty to read. Whoever wrapped them included a small bar of chocolate.

I thought it was a great idea

Usually a few on the go at the same time, so right now it's Tristram Shandy, by Laurence Sterne, Simulacra and Simulation, Jean Baudrillard, and a few pages into The German Ideology, Marx and Engels.

They're all comedies of a sort, at least one unintentionally

The library has a free app for borrowing e-books + audio books - free to use, no limits, very easy. Its called libby or borrowbox depending where you are
