What was the last thing you did for you?

Do you make sure you take time for yourself?

How do you treat yo'self?

Spent some work vouchers on some new clothes a few days ago

But other than that I don’t treat myself. Maybe to a bath

Good morning Meli,

I struggled with a concept of doing anything just for myself as I am a natural nurturer and giver, until I understood how the mask on the airplane analogy works and why it’s important to implement that approach to my life.

Now I am slowly getting better at doing things just for myself, for everybody’s sake.

A bath is a treat! It doesn't have to be big things, it could be carving out some time for yourself during a busy period. New clothes are always a win. x

Well I got some bangs cut in my hair finally (you know this). They're now a lot more bangs then before because I've cut them a bit more this morning.

I'm going to go for a walk and grab a coffee shortly. I also bought the most beautiful SKIMS dress in the sales as a well done me for weight loss.

I'm on a bit of a treat yo'self thing atm.

People have already started taking decorations down and that's quite a shame, they really do make the world that bit prettier.

I don’t really do anything ‘just for me’ over the holidays. Too busy helping and hosting.

I’ll get back to looking after myself in the new year.

Yes, that airplane analogy can really help you see things a bit differently, can't it? There shouldn't be any guilt or negative feelings towards doing something just for you - it's good to stop and take that time. You can't give of yourself if you don't ever recharge.

I got a decent bonus i wasnt expecting on Friday when I finished a hard period of work, blew it all on clothes on Saturday Also, most of the money I earned from said work has paid for my months holiday in January. I do indeed treat myself lol but I work hard for it so I also believe I deserve it.

I can't take any saved money with me when I die, I have no kids and my mum earns more than I do at an awesome job, if I die tomorrow my insurance with cover my burial. So, I like to spend

I like treating myself by taking myself for a spa day

A day of chill on heated lounges, in the sauna, hot tub and having a bit of afternoon tea and a treatment

What about you Meli?

You're back! I'll have to think of something smuttier to post later.

Spa days are brilliant aren't they? I hope you're able to treat yourself soon.

I'm not good at it most of the year - guilt and being really rather busy means I don't it as often as I perhaps should. My recent treat to myself was replying yes to a voicenote.

Oooh yes please...

Yes, love spa days! Hopefully sometime in the new year, although we're saving for a nice lodge break in May.

Aw that's a shame. Everyone deserves a break, even if it's just a nice night in, a hot bath, bit of a pamper, I think you should try and prioritise yourself more where you can next year it'll do you the world of good!

Miss S x

I bought myself a coat that I have been coveting for AGES. It was in the sale and then there was an extra 20% off. It was meant to be!

Now I just need to keep my fingers crossed that it gets delivered and not lost in a parcel depot somewhere.

I've just ordered a fleecey lounge set and some perfume with my birthday/Christmas money.

I'm thinking the rest, I might treat myself every month either getting my hair, nails, massage, reflexology for the next 12 months , as something just for me.

Right now! I'm sat all by myself on the sofa, with a coffee listening to music videos on the TV whilst scrolling Fab.

Why do I always feel guilty though and feel I should be doing something productive?

"What was the last thing you did for you?

Do you make sure you take time for yourself?

How do you treat yo'self?"

A few years back, I took stock.

Work - giving the most of my day to other people's problems and other people's deadlines.

Teaching - giving my personal time to give my knowledge to others.

Stocktake - Me giving = 100%. Me getting = 0%

Outcome: Make sure I do something solely for me.

Result - A happier more balanced Killan
