Volvo was voted the safest most reliable SUV available. No clue if used they go for that price range.

Maybe you should read the forum before jumping and criticising my post

I’m not criticising you or anyone, I was asking a question. If you take offence to me asking something that that’s your stuff ??

For reliability it’s Honda or Toyota. I work for the AA

At the moment, the most reliable new and nearly new cars in the UK, according to the RAC and Autocar are Dacias. Autocar says it's because they're fairly basic and simple, with less to go wrong.

I got a nissan quashy thing.

Does the job, free road tax , cheap to insure for me. Good mpg and roomy.

Becareful with some cars as loads are certain brands are very easy to steal.

Toyota chr being the new one on the list of those st0len cars.

In my prior experience, Dacias are ok for popping to the tip (roomy boot) but for long distances they are bloody uncomfortable to drive.

You might find a Sportage at that price with a few years warranty left. That would be my choice

I'm afraid I really can't give any recommendations as I can not stand SUVs and will never buy one

Had a google, came up with Alfa Stelvio (top end of budget) and Volvo XC40 (well within budget)

Paper Town Central, Essex.

Pre 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (4hs model)

Tax free, full 4wd. Economical and no zone charges.

Later than 2017 they're taxable.

Solihull and Brentwood

Buy Japanese imho.

I've had French which out of warranty not much good and their customer service is non existent. Same as Merc.

Currently got a Mazda CX-30 petrol. Not too impressed with coming from a diesel to petrol and having to change down most of the time to accelerate. But all ok so far.

Agreed. Can’t go wrong.

Korean / Japanese, great reliability and don’t have the premium cost of the German models

X2 is a beauty to drive, but not great storage space. Also wish there was a more powerful engine option.
