Manchester

Had a few times when I was talking to people who just joined the site today. Had beautiful conversation and arranged to meet in a few days ect. Then suddenly the next morning, all chat history deleted and nothing left. I even asked one of them if they will stay and they said yes.

Frustrating and what a waste of time and emotion. Have you experienced the same?

There's an option to not engage with people who have the new flag

Somewhere in Co. Down

I don't really know how chatting to someone for one day can be a waste of time or emotion if I'm honest.

Plenty of people come and go quickly on here due to being inundated with messages,or they were just being nosey. A lot won't meet so fast off here especially when new so I don't think it's much of a surprise when it doesn't happen.

I tend to filter out newbies for this reason

About 3 feet away from the fence

I'd advise you to filter newbies out. They're almost always a complete waste of time.

Yep filter out the newbies, many join and realised realise reality and fantasy are very different, some get overwhelmed and some their wife probably caught them or deleted in a brief moment of guilt, either way I try not to engage with newbies - however we were all new once so can't tar them all with the same brush.

Has anyone said filter out newbies? If they have that’s good advice

We live and learn

Some people may come to just get wank fodder, so it can be useful to not engage in ways that ply them with the goodies.

And many will say what they deduce you want to hear

It's horrible as a new person on here. All the creepy vultures descend.

All over

I can sed it from both sides. New here can be overwhelming, kind was for me. Then you get all these new ones, especially younger with inappropriate first messages if you don't use filters. Swings and roundabouts

Many many times, this why I love the newbie filter

I quite like trying to chat to virgin newbies as they are the sort of people I'm looking for. However I do accept that many get swamped and disappear quickly and there are many timewaters as well. However thats one of the risks of being on here, it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.
