Ok, i never in my life had given this a thought, but last night the conversation was about double boiled kettles, to do with not sterilizing babies bottles if it was a double boiled kettle or some people wont make a cup of tea out of one. Also someone was saying she knows someone that has seperate kettles, one for tea and one for the babies.

Have to say its never bothered me in the least

You shouldn't rely on boiled water for babies things a microwave steriliser set at the right time or a chemical bases steriliser are far better options.

I was always told not to use double boiled water for babies bottles.

I used to make a coffee leave the water to cool a lil then make a few bottles in one.

I do have a habit of filling the kettle up after ive used it.

A dishwasher does the same thing as a steriliser. If the baby's bottles are microwavable they'll withstand a dishwasher too. The teats deteriorate over time anyway so they should be replaced every six months as a matter of course.

Tea made from a double boiled kettle taste different to a single boiled kettle...... unless you stir the tea anti-clockwise
