The Taxi Driver Association is warming of the impact of the lack of taxis exasperated by Covid when many drivers failed to return to the industry. They warn of more late night fights and sexual assault. This is on the back of a disabled lady in befast stranded in a place called Belfast which many will know is the capital city of Northern Ireland. The disabled lady was in a wheelchair and my one taxi company could help. Is this another unexpected Brexit impact ? Is Sadiq Khan to blame, Any fab taxi drivers on here. What's going on. It's all over the news.

"Only a small number of taxis are wheelchair eqipped."

really? I drove private hire and hackney for 13 yrs and never had any issue putting a wheelchair in the boot. I think drivers these days are lazy, many won't even help with shopping or luggage which used to help my tips no end.

Sadiq Khan or No Khan Do as the locals is waging war on the motorist and private cars. No wonder demand for taxis is up with too few taxis at peak times. Has Khan played a part in this ?

As a cabbie, the biggest problem for cabbies is demand. Post covid, the fares just have not been there. Income is not what it used to be before covid.

Again… how is the mayor of London affecting what is going on in Northern Ireland?

Couple of hundred miles and a rather large piece of water between them…..

It is so hard to get a taxi in this country , i am waiting 10 -15 mins at the airport for Uber in the cold. I notice there are very little private cars other than Uber and not many taxi provide free drinks, Wi-Fi or even usb charging.

It looks like it’s going the same way as your NHS and Education companies. Is there a lack of smart people in the UK to make business as work properly?
