I play okay on guitar, bass, piano and drums.

I would love a real acoustic drum kit, but live in a tiny studio flat.

I played a few times my friend's drum kit.

Much more fun, than the electric crap.

It didn't have double bass pedal that time though, which I would love to experiment with.

I had an audition in the local brass band.

I couldn't even make a sound out of that thing. Have to admit I was 10.

Ended up being the little drummer boy.

its not that hard but then I took to it like a duck to water... ( but had been playing brass instruments since I was a tot) I adore my French horn..

For me I'd love to be able to play guitar or piano well. ( I can play some stuff)

I wish I'd inherited my Grandad's musical prowess. He started as a drummer boy in the army at 14. Then graduated to a sort of tin whistle and eventually, all the woodwind instruments. The oboe was his absolute speciality though. He could play the oboe, flute, clarinet, cor anglais, piccolo, sax, bassoon and any kind of recorder type instrument. And the piano and the organ. And the drums, obviously.

My son seems to have picked up his musical genes. He learned guitar, then self taught bass, drums and piano and came home recently to find him with one of Grandad's flutes, teaching himself that too.
