Who decides what food

should be eaten with what other food? Another thread made me wonder why it is acceptable to eat "sweet n sour" dishes or Brie with redcurrents but some combinations are considered disgusting.

So I am curious what it is that makes some but not all combinations ok?

Ok - i put out to tender the chocolate cookies with a curry served on the other thread

I am not suggesting for one moment that I would eat that - but I am curious as to what is acceptable and what is not in food combinations?

I mean all combinations including Thai sweet chilli on salmon must have been tried by somebody at some point and found to be good combination?

I get that totally. What I curious though is what makes us not even want to try some combinations?

Its because it works.end of....

peanut butter and marmite dont and crab and strawberries dont....

If it aint broken....dont fix it
