what would you do, dearest forum frequenters?

let's set the scene.

you are in no contact with a person, for whatever reason.

said person is blocked everywhere, however your phone has a feature whereby 'blocked' actually means going into a separate blocked inbox, and not into the ether.

said person has been trying to bait you into responding in a million different ways, for the longest of times, and as yet, you have resisted.

however, in the latest tactic, they have mentioned something extremely personal to you. something they know will trigger you. they obviously know this. the way they have phrased something is almost like they have something to say about it, like they're egging you into asking.

now, you have stayed silent, through far more than you should have. but now, you want to know what they've got to say on this specific subject 5 years later. why they'd dare mention it now. how they could possibly have anything to say on the matter.

buttttt, you keep schtum.

would you stay silent? would you respond? would you ride at dawn because there's no way on this planet this person could possibly have the brass neck to mention anything to you?

for clarity, this may or may not be a fictional situation, whereby there is no actual point to said post other than meh Px

Leave the past in the past.

Unless he’s asking you to send nude pics to me.

Back in the room Fiddles.

Leave it be and block them properly.

Good luck with your dilemma. x

Normally I'd say be open about it BUT that is exactly what they want. They want the contact to open, the response, the retaliation there is nothing else to it.

It's manipulation at its finest. Pushing the buttons. And the only way it works is if you respond.

So don't! Silence, woman!

Stay silent, they are blocked for a reason and their current behaviour indicates they are no less toxic than they were before blocking.

Pop to Starbucks treat yourself to a nice coffee and a muffin and consign said toxic person to your fuckit bucket forever x

Respond and start a fresh situationship with them

Anyone even asking what your asking clearly isn’t done with this person and I think toxic situationships can be fun while they last

It’s Christmas, treat yourself

Ignore all attempts for them to reel tou in. You got out for a reason. Remember that and continue to cut ties. No sneaky peaks to see if they've tried to contact you, just bin them off!!!

Stay silent.

If possible ask a friend to delete and clear the messages and never tell you the content.

No good will come of responding to it and engaging with them

MrsAbz

Ps - if you contact your network provider they can block the number so it doesn't reach your phone at all

When the past calls, don't answer. It has nothing new to say.

Whatever the issue is and whomever the person is, when you blocked you made the decision to move forward. Keep the momentum and don't look back.

I'd delete the message and try not to look in that other folder.

They're after a reaction from you, replying gives them the attention they're craving.

Delete the messages and stay silent… at least to them. Then rant and rave to your hearts content until it’s no longer bothering you. If they had something to say they should’ve done it at the time. Now it and them are totally and utterly irrelevant

Stay schtum. It's easier said than done, fuck knows I've responded before when I shouldn't have. I'd maintain your dignity and not respond to the baiting. It's not worth it.

Write a letter in response and then burn it (Friday it's solstice so an apt time to do so) or talk to friends. Whatever it is? Don't respond Quack, x

Is there a mutual person that knows you both?

That can say back off? That can be a support if you met? If its a personal thing and If they are that kind of person to bait you, how do you know its not being talked about to others.

Ignoring won't make it go away

Change the settings in your phone so that blocked does not mean the messages go into spam but get deleted immediately.

Do not read them.

Do not answer them.

Now on a separate hypothetical note, i understand that there are certain types of people who can be hired for a sum to provide a friendly greeting to the type or person who may be harassing an individual
