Generally older websites are vulnerable to password theft regardless of length or strength. 2FA combined with a strong password & lockouts prevents account hacking. irreversible encryption so that your password isn’t even known by the system it gets you access to, prevents password theft. Modern sites use both The main value of your password on low value / easy target site is to use to access to other sites like eBay, Amazon and web based email.
