From the land of haribos.

It is almost the end of the year and it would be fun to know how your training have been this year, like, have you completed your training goals and what was it?

I have completed my goals and I have made good progress in the gym, one of my goals was to maintain my 6pack year round which I have done, it have been a challange, but I have made it

Didn't really set any goals but have been consistent in the gym and have made progress in my Burpees lol

I completed a month long skipping challenge doing 200 skips a day but think that's buggered my knee up!

Lifting is going well with some small improvements to my one rep max lifts so I'm happy with that.

My nutrition is what I'm targeting next year!

Intermittent due to illness and injury. Not that I'm some kind of gym bunny (obvs). I don't have goals to keep. However I like the maintain a level of fitness for physical and mental health. Of which when I'm not training it's my mental wellbeing that takes the most noticeable hit. Hope next year I'll be able to maintain a more consistent training pattern across the year.

Taken on an actual coach instead of buying premade programs and although my lifts all initially dropped, my technique has improved massively and the weights are going back up.

I’ve managed 2nd place at a masters competition and competed at national level as well this year too

Terrible.

Injuries and loss of mojo from other factors, have undone a huge amount of the progress I’d made. I’m almost starting from scratch.

It’s been average, spent another year trying to get back to pre illness strength and size, it’s took way longer than I thought being young you seemed to bounce back way faster, pretty close now so a bit happier

A little disappointing. Various things stopped me from training at a regular frequency for periods of time. But now I'm focused on starting the year right.

I am pretty chuffed.

Late last year and early into this, my lifts were really restricted by a hip issue.

Despite that, I've done 3 national and an international masters competition this year.

I'm back lifting weights I was a decade ago.

I can't wait til 2024.

It's gone pretty well. I don't really set goals but more the idea to gradually improve my lifts and go more by aesthetics and I like to think I look a bit bigger than this time last year.

I think I'm in a weird in-between period though where I need to decide if I'm happy being how I am, or commit to a proper bulk in order to see an increase in muscle size, lifts... And fat and I'm not sure if I want that.

I think I might want to do a comp next year. My local powerlifting branch Runs a development comp for people who have never competed before so might register for that when it comes up.

. Whatever sport you do competing is ace. It gives training a whole new focus.

Except the physio exercises, biking 7 miles a day and running around the kitchen?

None!

Planning to start weight training again, when my back can handle it.

Will remove the dust from the dumbells in 2024.

A good job well done. Have you set routine for abs training

My year mixed, completed a big marathon I wanted to. That took up a lot of budget which prevented me doing as much as I would like. Next year, wanna improve my core and flexibility which will further help my running

Dubai & Nottingham

It’s been a good year. I had no goals over than stay injury free and train consistently and enjoy it.

I’ve done it by dropping the weights a little & taken up boxing MMA and squash because it's fun & I hated cardio in the gym.

It's been a mobility pain in the arse (sciatica) type of year Shag

I've managed to keep up with my arms, legs and thighs muscle tone, but I have to be real careful with leg stretches, in case I pinch the nerve. Menopause has wiped out the midriff, so I'm not worrying about that till my hormones settle down again

Good goals mate you are always in excellent shape. Next year would like to be body weight 110kg in same condition as now and hit 300kg for a single on the deadlift

Very hitty missy but I'm the exact same weight as I was 5 years ago so I'm happy with the fact I haven't put any weight on.

I do get some physical exercise in one of my jobs and I'm healthy so it could be a lot worse.

I've gone from 2 reps of Doner kebab a week, to 4 reps. Pretty happy with those sustained gains and haven't needed to increase my protein intake.
