I remember as a kid my parents used to have the radio on on a Sunday night when I was in bed. Obviously their music was rubbish (so I thought) then one night as they were listening to the usual boring Radio 2 music, Black came on. I was utterly flabbergasted

Listened to The Verb on Friday night and there was a folk singer (A_elia Coburn) who did an amazing, pure voiced, stripped down version of Wuthering Heights.

Also bit addicted to the first five tracks (cheat I know) Mountain Goats' album All hail west Texas.

Each song is about two minutes but is like getting a glimpse of a paragraph from a short story collection. You finish listening and want to know more about what happened to the characters. He has a right turn of phrase too, the tunes are catchy, and he's funny too.
