Yes. If someone makes it very evident that it's the right thing to do, it's so much easier. Painless really and very much in line with the liberating feeling Misty Toes mentioned in her OP.

I've recently blocked someone on everything. Because I don't want the mental gymnastics that come with that 'relationship'. But actually I feel the callous cold hearted bitch for doing it even though I have good reason. I feel like I've just disposed of someone I actually adore in many ways and dislike in others. It feels shit.

And there's plenty I would not have given up on if they had just sat and had a conversation with me face to face.

But with others that caused me pain or anguish or were completely out line or lied to me. Yes finally not giving shit can be a great liberating feeling.
