i went christmas shopping yesterday and had my purse stolen out of my bag :- 700 pound!. seven other people also had there purses stolen the same day! so be carefull when out shopping this time of christmas. xxxxxxxxxxxx

oh god thats bloody terrible!!!

i dont take my purse when im out shopping i keep my money in an inside jacket pocket and tend just to use my bank card where possible. hope they get the scum that did this to u x

Sorry to hear about your experience, It's probably a long shot, but I think some contents insurance covers loss through theft even when not in the home, might be worth checking your small print,

Thieves see the pre xmas rush as a bonanza. Half the time it is just kids that makes it even worse. Try not to carry too much cash my self these days as no one is safe.

get a small bell or a cpl of noisy keyrings and attach to your handbag.

I was supposed to draw a lot of cash out today for something but they wouldnt let me have it but now when i fetch it tomorrow i will be extra careful

Mart they shouldnt enjoy christmas at someone else expence!! We are all struggling and so should they.

I hate theiving bastards!!

Next time if you are carrying that amount of cash split it up!! some in your purse and some in sealed pockets!!! that way they dont get it all!!!

I hope your ok and try not let it spoil your xmas. Im so sorry to hear that you were robbed.

Bumping this thread as think anyone who missed it needs to see it.

So many people out there doing there shopping really IS a theives paradise.

It does suprise me how many people still carry so much cash around, the most i ever carry is £20 and my bankers card.

Had my handbag nicked before and learned from that

Its sickening that they have gotten away with so much money and hope that you CAN claim some if not all of it back - and hope that you still manage a happy xmas
