I could but I would have to drop my pay for that unfortunately " Shouldn’t need to drop pay for a secondment, as it should be more about your development and exposure to different parts of the business. Maybe see if there’s an opportunity to shadow another department head or manager in a different área while you look for new work or wait for your manager to return | |||

You could always negotiate starting salary. I think men naturally have the upper hand and are more likely to achieve higher wages then females, so worth a try. | |||
