MSN fun ends!!

Just a quick warning to everyone that Windows Live Messenger or MSN as we know it will stop working and be shutdown by Microsoft Officially on the 15th March 2013.

They are merging with Skype, so get yourselves downloading Skype and just sign in with your old Hotmail address and you contacts will be ported over.

Yes got that email too think it said they would start the transition of users from msn to skype from the 8th April onwards

Yea you can sign into Skype now using your hotmail/msn address, tried the iPhone app the other day and its pretty good so not a bad thing really x

made the mistake of changing over a month ago what a big mistake that was skype is total crap so having a rethink is google or yahoo any good ???

really my friends still on MSN i am on new site he cant get cam working .? maybe if he move over he will ... just did work and then cant get it .

Yes also found skype is rubbish compared to msn.

I do also have yahoo but have more or less lost contact with people through changeover.

Skype is ok, I've had a few probs with people still being on msn and me on Skype (I think) but I've found yahoo to be more consistent just don't have many folk on there

I've had separate MSN, Yahoo and Skype accounts for a while and have used cam on all of them without any major problems (other than normal bandwidth issues and occasional jitter).

Taken the plunge and closed my MSN account and gone over to Skype now, conversation history is good but always preferred the old version of MSN.... but will just have to get used to more Skype now.

Yahoo still working fine so at least there are still 2 options available.....

Only thing if say your bidding on ebay and you are away from your computer,I have a sound that notifies me of being outbid, with skype you do not get notifications by email so annoying.

I've used skype as well as other messengers.

For the last week or so, I cannot add a new contact on Skype.........the ADD CONTACT button is there at the top menu but no option to ADD opens up.........anyone else have this problem?

You can add all hotmail accounts onto yahoo too x
