It’s going up!

Todays the day we set out into the wilderness and pick up that symbol of Christmas, The Tree!

We’re going for a Norwegian Spruce, they give off the strongest smell and even though they’re notorious for needle drop, all you need is a water stand and they’ll last the season with very few dropping.

Is yours up yet, do you prefer a real tree or the fake tinsel ones?

I put it on the fireplace. If someone walked in the room, I want their eyes to be drawn to it so they give it compliments.

I was going to suggest that, should have done. Yes best in cetre place to be looked and admired. Perhaps even feel if they want to see if it is real or not.

I love a real tree but in this day and age of climate change etc should we all not switch to fake ones.

Apparently a fake tree starts being good after 7 years

We've "tagged" the tree were going to have, and will go off to the plantation and cut it down next weekend

It's a nordman, not a spruce, just big enough to fit in my lounge

I have the best space saver tree that goes on my wall. Looks so effective.

If I had the space I'd have a real tree

I like someone else to help with that, 2 pairs of hands are much better than one

Real tree here, the same as every year, it's a family tradition that we all (husband, children and I) go together and choose it. We got it last weekend and decorated it. It's absolutely gorgeous, it's quite big and smells lovely.

Lincoln

Ours went up mid-November It's a realistic fake which makes cleaning up easier, and it's doing well so far at four Christmases, still looking good

ive never bothered , dont see the point to be honest.

i usually head to South Tenerife , lie in the sun christmas day , go out at night as everywhere is open as normal.

nice meal , few drinks , cant beat it .

not as expensive as folk think if you shop around and spend a few hours searching online
