I have that.

Stability for my kids, security for my friends and my father, help for charities. A huge house, swimming pool, staff and comfort for us. These are on my list

A lot of people who know me and one person especially who helped me when I was seriously ill would benefit hugely. I would only need 10% of that money to live out the rest of my life in luxury. May as well bring a few others along for the ride.

A while ago I crunched the numbers on how much it would cost for me to have everything I want for the rest of my life. Came to about £7 million total if I remember correctly. If I won £201 million, the extra would see a lot of people have a lot fewer problems.

Well nobody NEEDS that ammount but even with that its a drop in the ocean compared to benzos, musks that are worth 300 billon or something

My best friend prob 1%

and the rest goes to

1. RNLI

2. Homeless Charities

3. Blind

4. Deaf

5. M.S.

6. Hospices

7. Shelter

8. Water aid

9. Famine Relief

10. Air Ambulance

and the rest would have to be split between very many charities ..

I have no chance of winning as I won't be buying a ticket.

In reality I don't think I'd want to have that much money. The pressure to go public would be immense, the expectations of other people would put huge pressure on friendships and that amount of money brings it's own problems. I do believe life is easier when you don't need to worry about paying bills or buying your children shoes or keeping them warm and while money doesn't buy happiness it doesn't stop you being happy either.

It's interesting that most people who've never had that kind of money would give nearly all of it away whilst keeping a modest (by comparison) amount for themselves. While most people who have vast sums keep the majority and give a modest (by comparison) amount away.

I wonder if when it came to it I'd be as philanthropic as I'd like to think I would

Rather than give it away in lump sums better to bank it and give away the interest, about £800,000, to charities every month tax free. That way you can have very large ongoing donations forever.
