And then the complete opposite for males who face other frustrations.

I seem to have been very lucky indeed and have only encountered the more pleasant part of fab. I do not get bombarded with hundreds of messages day after day or receive any obscene pictures.

You only get out what you put in I guess and profile pictures do go a long way.

Anyone moaning about 100s of messages there are filters that can be used to stop them if it annoys you that much.

As a woman you don't have to put much effort into a profile and will still get messages.Even a blank profile will be told how stunning they are.

Yes it can be hard to find someone that you want to meet but at the same time if you send a first message there is a good chance you will get a reply.

Yes we can get crappy messages but they are easy to delete and ignore.

And don't forget the power of fannyblindness on here. You can rant and rave and be a complete twat and some men will still agree with you matter what

If I filter the hotpics to just the Irish ones the number one womens pic can have 200-300 fabs.

I have posted pics over the last few years that have been at the number one position for Irish men and I've never had more than 20 fabs. Most have been around the 12-15 mark and the majority of those have been from women.

Others have mentioned it, and my main issue personally, is really how it frames my view of men as a whole. If 95% of the approaches I get are either boring, horny, offensive or desperate (or a terrible combination of those things), what I am left with is the feeling that most men are boring, horny, offensive and desperate. It makes it really hard for me to like men. Which makes it really hard for me to want to do the sexy times with any of them. And I really really want to like everyone, and I really want to believe most people are trying their best to be good. So it is soul crushing sometimes to witness the contents of my inbox as a sample of humanity.

And this applies across all dating apps IMO, it's not exclusive to fabs at all. I don't even think the proportion of lewd comments is any higher here than OKC, Hinge or Tinder etc. Only more dicks.

If I filter the hotpics to just the Irish ones the number one womens pic can have 200-300 fabs.

If I filter the hotpics to just the Irish ones the number one womens pic can have 200-300 fabs.

I would say it’s pretty even albeit from different perspectives.

A woman has 1000’s of messages to wade through and 95% of those will be from people who are either vulgar, have cock pics, wrongun’s - not their type.

They’ll also have to decide from those 5% which are genuine from their message, which of those are actually single and which they have time to reply to.

Then the next day or when they upload a new photo they are back to 1000 plus messages.

Gents get no messages or very little but if they receive one from a woman, they at least know that woman is interested in him, as she has thousands to choose from.

They can spend their time hunting rather than wasting it on wading through messages.

Both sides come with their own perks and frustrations but I wouldn’t say it’s any easier for one or the other.

I've never found it difficult. The only difficulty, only drama I've had on Fab have all been related to a poor choice of relationship. I don't get the abusive messages other women seem to get. I don't get ghosted, stood up etc. I've never found it difficult to meet people when I've wanted to.

However... is my experience the same as other women? Clearly not. Hence why you get women who are clearly frustrated, write angry/sad profiles and statuses, yoyo back and forth when they've had enough of the site.

I don't think it's "easy" for any particular group. It's an individual thing.

What really helps is to only message people you actually are really interested in rather than a bunch of blank half arsed profiles with one photo of a boob.

If nothing comes to mind for a first message, it's always good to just leave that person in your hotlist and get back to it when you do come up with something meaningful, or maybe they post a status update or a photo that you can comment.

Generally avoiding bland compliments like "nice pics, nice ass" etc is also a good idea.

On that note complimenting someone's style, sense of humour, well written profile is usually a good start as long as the compliment is genuine.

I only get two or three of those a week, lol. Although you gotta wonder if people really think you are ready to fuck right now.
