I just wanted to break the 100 club, I had a few weeks of the programme left to see where I could go. I’m now perfectly happy for that to stay my best. | |||

"I regret this question already There will always be someone lifting more than you. Just focus on your own goals." That’s true I actually much prefer how I look & feel from boxing than heavy lifting but It’s a nice feeling to finally bench 4 plates / 100kg though. | |||

"Currently a mere 60kg on bench press,really want to get it to 75kg before the end of the year but don't see it happening." honestly, that is a huge jump in weight if you can only max 60kg - be an extra 25%. better to aim for 65kg and use them smaller plates and to keep making your technique is good. good luck in your journey | |||

"Once did 1000 reps of 1000 kg." Lightweight I did 2000 reps with 2000kg I only stopped because they had to close the gym otherwise I would still be at it. It was wide grip as well so even harder | |||

" I came here to say something similar. As well as absolute numbers, I measure my maxes as proportion of bodyweight. Maybe that's just a self preservation mechanism given some of the numbers above! That said, it's sat stubbornly at 93kg (at 68kg bw) for a while, and I won't lie and pretend I don't want to hit the magic 100 soon! It's definitely on its way... | |||
