Is it just me or does this seem to be on the increase? I’ve spoken to loads of them lately and the scary bit is that a few of them have got verifications. I don’t know how but they are definitely hairy arsed blokes. I don’t understand what they get out of it. What does it achieve?

That’s exactly what I do, but yes it does matter because it’s making fab a worse place to be. In my opinion every single male, female and couple should have to photo verify as soon as they join. That way everyone knows that everyone else is who they say they are.

I've been here almost 8 years. On my very first profile when I was naive I chatted to a man pretending to be a woman and blocked him as soon as I called him out on it.

In the years since I've never chatted to another one so if there is an increase it's not affecting my use of fab.

I've never been catfished either and every meet I've had has been exactly as their profile and our chats told me they would be and I've never had a no show.

I don't put any of that down to being lucky so if someone is having repeated issues it's maybe time to review how they choose to engage with people.

Photo verification is very easy to fool.

I had been on Reddit a lot in the past. It is really bad there. Especially with guys running multiple profiles (the style they write gives it away sometimes). Don't get what they get out of it but quite sad to have to pretend things I guess.

Here in my view not such an issue but obviously still need to take precautions.

Phot verification can be foiled by Photoshop or something like that.

As to what the motive is I don't know.

My guess is they could be getting samples of introductory messages, and if they get any good ones they like, they use them themselves using their male profiles.

Same thing as copying text out of profiles they think is good
