To me, it just gives an indication of the sort of work environment the person is in, quite likely an office environment (engineers, lawyers, accountants etc) or medical / pharma for example. Ie. If looking for army lads or tradesmen, this profile isn’t going to match. But I see no reason for people to be so chippy about it. Might be simpler if people simply posted their profession rather than saying “professional”, so as not to cause offence … | |||

The room can then set up committees, sub-committees and sub sub committees to research the topic. A few trips abroad will be required. So we need to raise finance for that. Subs / CPD etc are essential in most professions, if you want to practice that profession, stay up to date and prove competence.
If your initial professional qualification is no longer relevant to your work / career, then by all means ditch it. "Sorry it’s not clear but I was being sarcastic. I was in electrical world and we have been inundated with unqualified sparks who have done the 5 week course. It takes approx 5 years to qualify properly as an approved electrician. I did take my education, registration and cpd seriously. | |||
