I was thinking of Wolfenstein 3D, and I was alive for that one! The internet informed me about its predecessors.

My original thought was one that was released when I was six or seven, but in terms of the theme of "the first"... Ah well.

I have to say I don't even know what it is hence the Methuselah reference. I often feel as if I'm the only person who isn't party to 'in' jokes . I knew that one day I'd be the same age as old people but I didn't know it would happen quite this quickly

The one I remember was an early first person shooter game fighting Nazis that I definitely was *not* allowed to play.

Yeah that was before I was born by about 4 months.

When I signed up I used 1/1/80 as my DOB because laziness, but I'm actually almost 2 years younger than that.

I was born in 1996.

I didn't know Wolfenstein went back that far. I knew it was the predecessor to Doom 1993... but I thought that was the first title in the series.

Paper Town Central, Essex.

Played it on my mates Apple 2 (his parents were minted)

I think it was actually called Castle Wolfenstein.

All I had was a ZX 81 I then moved to an Oric that I used to write programs for. Much easier using a 6502 based machine.

My god.. I was 15 then !!!

- 2 years 3 months

I loved the games of that era. Simple and playable.

Can't deal with the modern stuff and haven't gamed since N64

If anyones got a C64 they don't want gathering dust that's the one I really dream of getting back. Still even got my old cartridges and Discs. Don't know where all the tapes went though.

I remember the PC game (W3D).

It was what we played before there was Doom.

Which was what we played before there was Quake.

You really needed a Pentium to play Quake.
