What do people think. I’m thinking of taking it up. How much does it help? Are there any Pilates instructors on Fab?

If I take it up my Instructor has a body to die for!!! Not a reason for doing it but….it’s a factor!

I’ve been doing it for three years. YouTube. Move With Nicole. I think it has helped. Oh and she’s a hottie too. Lol.

I started Pilates a few years ago and don’t regret it. It’s amazing for core strength. It’s improved my posture as well. I do reformer Pilates and not mat Pilates.

I’m active, athletic and have weight trained since my early 20s, Pilates gave me a run for my money in the beginning.

I love pilates, it improves core strength and aids mobility as you are flexing muscles that don't get used as much day to day along with stabilising the spine, it's also a great mood booster

Enjoy

I do yoga a couple of times a week and love it. Prefer it over pilates because it works the whole body and really helps me relax.

Thanks all, some good advice. I like it because it tends to exercise lots of smaller muscles, improving core strength and therefore posture. Going to the gym on its own might build you big muscles but not posture , and not always core strength. I think I’m sold on the idea, and on the instructress too!

Pilates is a compliment to any workout routine because having a strong core is foundation for an effective workout

Totally agree! You sound like my Pilates instructress, in fact I’ve just had to check your profile to make sure it’s not you! It isn’t…. But you are a hottie!
