So i have been put on the waiting list for bariatric surgery, after 20 years of dieting and yoyoing....and to put it bluntly, i am shit scared about the process!

I know i need to get the weight off, and health wise i won't be as lucky as i am at the moment. But guess its fear of the unknown.

Anyone been through the process or know people who are out the otherside? Would love to find out a lot more firsthand!

Good luck. Have you tried keto, or a blood sugar diet?

Will take a look, even as an option to get the weight down initially...so far calorie counting has been the most successful....and most soul destroying method!

I know someone who went private and lost loads of weight.

She no longer uses a walking stick and is very happy with the results.

You'll be fine.

One of my friends had it done, almost a year ago now.

The transformation is amazing. Not just in her looks (she was always beautiful to me) but her confidence has blossomed so much.

It hasn't beem and still isn't easy. It was painful, tough going and scary for her. Recovery was more than she thought it would be and she can still only eat tiny, little meals.

But

She says she doesn't regret it for one minute. Everything was worth it. She is so happy now and it is lovely to see

I had a weight issue for years, once I stopped messing with my blood sugar I fixed the issue. But good luck and hope you get the results you seek

Hey OP, if you decide to go for it then I really hope it works for you

Personally, I decided not to go for it. There is short term weight loss but long term people often put the weight back on so end up with the problems of obesity plus the problems of having a butchered digestive tract.

I suggest looking up Health At Every Size (HAES) which talks about being the healthiest version of you
