break down. If it's not 2way then it's not really a relationship in my book.

Relationships by definition have to involve two or more people - however, it is possible that there are inquequalities in a relationship whcih may then make it feel as if it is a one sided relationship.

If one person does all the giving (hypothetically speaking) and the other only receives then I cannot really see there being a long term future, unless of course the giver is meeting his own need to be a giver only and the receiver is happy to just be receiving.

Most relationships do require some kind of balance and people give in some and receive in another way.

Close enough for fun!

"so you people generally think they work or eventually break down?"

Anything one sided is doomed to failure its sad when one person clings on when the relationship is dead.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I think they are time-limited exchanges. All relationships change.

Its not a hard question to ask, its blatantly obvious a one sided relationship won't work.

Relationships are 2-way things, equal commitment and equal respect.

I can't see how a one way relationship would work, all give and no take, or all take and no give!!! I know I couldn't be in a one way one
